Plan Terms

 

  • Person to person standard calls and texts only. Plans renew every 28 days unless cancelled. Premium rate numbers excluded. Use in NZ only. All prices include GST. New mobile customers only. Excludes Skinny direct customers. Skinny T&C’s apply.
  • Network traffic management may apply during busy times. That means if lots of people are chatting, streaming and scrolling at the same time in the same place, we may have to temporarily slow data speeds in that area. That way, no one misses out and everyone stays connected.
    You can use your included mins, texts, and data for 28 days from purchase. Your 4 Weekly Plans will auto-renew every 28 days if you have enough credit (unless cancelled).
  • Unlimited Skinny Minutes on $26 and $16 Plan
    Unlimited Skinny Minutes on the $26 and $16 Plan are for standard person to person voice calls to all Skinny Mobiles while in NZ.
    How can I tell if my friends or family are on Skinny? Simply text their mobile number to 300.
  • Rollover Minutes
    Rollover minutes only apply to the NZ and Australian included Rollover minutes on the $16 and $26 Plans. Minutes in any Add-Ons with one of these Plans do not rollover. Included data and texts, and Unlimited Skinny minutes, do not rollover. Included Rollover Minutes are available to use for the full 28 days of your Plan. If you have any unused Rollover Minutes after 28 days they will rollover into your next 28 day Plan provided your Plan auto-renewed at the end of its cycle. If you move to a non-eligible Plan, or if your eligible Plan failed to renew at the end of its cycle, your Rollover Minutes will be frozen. You can continue using your Rollover Minutes if you activate an eligible plan. You can keep and use all your Rollover Minutes for 12 months from purchase.
    NZ and AU Minutes on the $9 Plan, and $36, $46, $70 Endless Data Plans, and Rollover NZ and AU minutes on the $16 and $26 Plans are for voice calls in NZ to any NZ and Australian standard landlines and mobile networks. Excludes premium rate numbers, other international numbers and satellite phones. Standard person to person calls, any non-personal, commercial, business, machine generated or automated use is prohibited.
  • Rollover Data
    Rollover Data only applies to the included data on the $16 and $26 Plans. Data in any Add-On with one of these Plans does not rollover. If you have any unused included data on your Plan renewal date, it will rollover provided your Plan auto-renews. If you move to another eligible Plan your Rollover Data remains valid. However, if you move to an non-eligible Plan your Rollover Data will expire. If your $16 or $26 Plan failed to auto-renew at the end of its 28 day cycle your Rollover Data will expire. You can keep and use any Rollover Data for 12 months from the date of original purchase. Rollover Data on the $16 and $26 Plans is for data usage in NZ only.
  • Unlimited Texts
    Included texts are for standard person to person texts in NZ to any NZ network, and where specified to any Australian mobile network. Excludes premium rate and non-standard texts, shortcodes, and other international numbers. Unlimited Texts are for human finger use only. Texts are not to be used for machine generated or automated texting. Skinny terms apply.
  • Extra Charges
    Additional usage charges apply. Extra minutes are charged at overage rates. Voicemail is charged at 18c per call, unless on $36, $46, or $70 Endless Data Plan where Voicemail is included whilst your Plan is active. Cheap International Calling rates are available with an active 28 day plan.  Other rates apply for international texts, or non-standard and premium texts, including shortcodes. Roaming charges are additional. If your Plan ends, standard rates apply.
  • Additional Data Usage Charges
    Once you have used up all your allocation of data from one of our Plans (excluding Endless Data plans), your data will stop and you will need to purchase one of our data Add-Ons to continue using data.
    After purchasing the Add-On you will need to switch your phone off and on for the data to start working.
    If you exceed your included texts or minutes allowance you'll then be charged at our overage rates.
    Included calling minutes apply to calls to specified mobile networks and standard landlines (excluding calls to premium rate numbers or international numbers (unless otherwise specified)
    Texts are national person to person only - not to be used for machine generated texting.
  • Skinny terms and charges apply.
  • Roaming charges are additional.
  • If Skinny considers that your use of this Plan falls outside our terms, we may immediately suspend or deactivate your use of our services without notice.
  • Buddy Rewards: New customers must sign up to one of our $17 or above 4-weekly plan to redeem the reward.  Reward must be redeemed within 30 days of joining Skinny.  Skinny terms and conditions apply. For full terms see our General offer terms.
  • $10/month discount on broadband: 
  1. Who is eligible: You are eligible if (1) you already have a Skinny 4-weekly rollover $27, $40, $50 or $70 plan or 4-weekly Endless $40, $50, $70 plan and (2) you join Skinny broadband  as a new broadband customer. You must have both your new broadband plan and an eligible mobile plan active on your broadband bill date each month to get this offer. 
  2. What do you get: Eligible customers who have requested this offer via the online form when signing up for Skinny broadband get a $10 discount on their broadband plan cost, on their bill date.
  3. You must renew your mobile plan: To be eligible for this offer, you must have an active eligible mobile plan on the date of your broadband bill date. If you don’t, you will not receive the $10 discount for that entire billing cycle. If you purchase or renew an eligible mobile plan during the following month, you will not get a part discount or rebate.  If you switch mobile provider or move to an ineligible plan (even if you’re doing so because of a change we’ve made to your disadvantage), you will lose your $10 discount.
  4. Only one discount per account: If you have multiple plans with us, you won’t get an additional $10 discount.
  5. How long does the offer run for: This offer runs from 16 August 2022 and will continue until Skinny varies or retires this offer.
  6. When activating your modem after you receive it: Make sure you use the email address you used when signing up to the broadband plan, when you’re asked to log in. If you don’t use this email address you won’t receive your $10 per month discount.
