One NZ has a long history in Aotearoa, providing Kiwis with quality and widespread coverage to places where we live and work. Formally known as Vodafone, the company rebranded to One NZ in early 2023 to reflect the longstanding legacy in Aotearoa and their focus on Kiwis.
One NZ began its journey in 1998, as Vodafone Group Plc (British multinational telecommunications company), who acquired the New Zealand operations of Bellsouth, which was an American telecommunications company. So Vodafone NZ was launched. It operated as part of the Vodafone Group until 2019, when it was bought by Infratil Limited and Brookfield Asset Management Inc.
One NZ has a large mobile network of 1650 all around New Zealand, reaching 99% of where Kiwis live and work. Their services focus on 4G and 5G. They will be saying goodbye to 3G in March 2025.
One NZ is on a mission to focus on New Zealand and its future completely.
Various retailers and MVNOs use One NZ’s extensive network.
